A Visionary?
I “designed” my junior prom dress. Mom sewed. It was inspired by this Ralph Lauren S/S 1995. It’s still awesome in 2012.

How to Land a Greenleaf.
It’s no secret that one of my all-time favorite films for fashion is The Talented Mr. Ripley, and apparently American Vogue agrees. Check out their guide on how to dress like a modern day Marge Sherwood or Meredith Logue.

3 Times a Charm.
I loved The Virgin Suicides and Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. Now he’s got a third book coming out in October called The Marriage Plot.
Its description asks: “Are the great love stories of the nineteenth century dead? Or can there be a new story, written for today and alive to the realities of feminism, sexual freedom, prenups, and divorce?”

Just Read Just Kids.

By Patti Smith. Couldn’t put it down. Patti & Robert Mapplethorpe in the old NYC of  Andy Warhol’s Factory, Max’s Kansas City, the original Chelsea Hotel and the beginnings of punk at CBGB. Incredible.
